TV Series (2020). 8 episodes. On the first night of carnival on the island of Néboa, the body of a teenage girl is found in a cave shrouded in legends. The same cave had been the site of similarly murdered bodies in 1919 and 1989. In both cases, the killings marked the beginning of a series of five murders over the eight days of carnival—crimes that were never solved.

Local lore attributes the killings to the “Urco,” a man with a wolf’s head who emerges from the sea, surrounded by chains, to take the living. The Urco is also one of the symbolic figures of Néboa’s carnival.
