Based on the novel of the same name by writer Pilar Eyre, Ena will have Javier Olivares, one of the most brilliant creators in television, as its showrunner. Olivares is known for highly successful series such as El Ministerio del Tiempo and Isabel.

The script is written by Isa Sánchez, Daniel Corpas, and Pablo Lara Toledo. The series will be entirely directed by women: Anaïs Pareto, who oversees the series as a whole and directs four episodes, and Estel Díaz, who will direct two episodes.
